Surround Yourself with Art

My house signing is in a couple of weeks—unless it gets moved again. Buying internationally has definitely been a journey, but we’re finally getting close.

While I’m still waiting to be handed the keys, I wanted to share the main reason I fell in love with this particular house. Yes, there were plenty of other draws—great space for a studio and a beautiful garden—but what truly sealed it for me was the hand-painted mural on the wall between the dining room and kitchen.

It’s absolutely stunning. Every brushstroke feels intentional—painted with real care and love. The mural was created by a well-known local artist. I’ll share more about him later, once I’m able to meet him in person.

What amazes me is that the seller didn’t know who painted it—and never tried to find out. This home has had three owners (including me), and according to a local realtor, the original owner commissioned the mural.

I feel incredibly lucky that it was never painted over and has been kept in pristine condition. Now I get to live with its beauty wrapped around me every day.
